WHO ARE WE?
A community-driven organization
Aion Health is a Sierra Leonean non-profit reducing maternal and infant mortality through mobile health clinics and active volunteerism by medical and non-medical personnel. We provide free healthcare, education, and research-based services focused on maternal health, child wellness, malaria prevention, and family planning in underserved communities.
Through WASH initiatives, community awareness, and data-driven research, we empower healthier futures for all Sierra Leoneans. Our Health Education and Research (HER) approach drives evidence-based solutions that strengthen community knowledge, improve health behaviors, and inform impactful interventions for lasting change.

Abubakarr .S Konneh
Abubakarr Sidique Konneh is the Co-founder, President, & Managing Director of Aion Health, an MPH-trained health scholar with over 7 years of experience in public health who leads initiatives in mobile health clinics, digital health, and community-based research to address maternal mortality, disease prevention, and health inequities in underserved communities across Sierra Leone, while strengthening health systems and community resilience.


Mustapha Samuka Conneh
Mustapha Samuka Konneh is the Director of Health & Clinical Services at Aion Health, an MPH-trained public health professional with experience in clinical care, maternal and child health, and health systems strengthening who oversees mobile clinic operations and supports disease prevention, community health outreach, and quality healthcare delivery in underserved communities across Sierra Leone, driving equitable health impact and community resilience.
Albert Dauda Sengeh is the Director of Programs at Aion Health, overseeing the planning and implementation of community health initiatives, supervising field teams and volunteers, and using strategies to deliver high-quality services that address maternal, child, and priority health needs across underserved communities in Sierra Leone. He also leads monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to strengthen performance, accountability, and impact.

Ruth Mamie Ellie
Ruth Mamie Ellie is a Health Programme Officer with a strong background in public health and community-based interventions, bringing several years of experience in designing and implementing health programs that improve access to quality care in underserved communities. She plays a key role in coordinating health initiatives focused on maternal and child health, disease prevention, and health education, while supporting data-driven decision-making and strengthening health systems to enhance community well-being and resilience across Sierra Leone.


Jeneba Sarah Sankoh
Jeneba Sarah Sankoh is a Finance Officer with a solid background in financial management, budgeting, and accounting within health and development programs. She is responsible for overseeing financial planning, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and managing resources efficiently to support program implementation. With strong attention to detail and accountability, she contributes to the sustainability and transparency of operations, enabling impactful health initiatives to reach underserved communities across Sierra Leone with integrity and efficiency.
Zainab Sankoh is a Project and Safeguarding Officer with experience in coordinating community-based programs and ensuring the protection and well-being of vulnerable populations. She supports project implementation, monitors activities, and enforces safeguarding policies to create safe, inclusive, and accountable environments. With a strong commitment to ethical standards and community engagement, she contributes to delivering impactful programs that prioritize dignity, protection, and sustainable development outcomes nationwide effectively.

Musa Amara
Musa Amara is an Administrative Officer with experience in organizational support, office management, and coordination of daily operations within development programs. He ensures smooth administrative processes, manages logistics, and supports staff to enhance efficiency and productivity. With strong organizational skills and attention to detail, he contributes to effective program delivery and the overall functionality of the organization.


Dominic Hindolo Saidu
Hindolo Dominic Saidu is a Partnership Coordinator with experience in building and managing strategic collaborations across health and development programs. He identifies partnership opportunities, strengthens stakeholder relationships, and supports resource mobilization to expand program reach and impact. With strong communication and coordination skills, he plays a key role in fostering sustainable partnerships that drive innovation and community-centered solutions.
Denis Vandi Sei is the Operating Officer at Aion Health, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating program execution, and ensuring efficient use of organizational resources. He supports the implementation of community health initiatives, supervises operational teams, and applies strategic approaches to enhance service delivery across underserved communities in Sierra Leone with excellence, efficiency, and accountability.
